Our Multitread range of tactile systems offers various shapes and sizes tactile studs, strips, and plates constructed from a range of materials including: Stainless Steel, Brass, Bronze, Aluminium, Polyurethane, and GRP.

Our range of tactile indicator corduroy strips, studs, and plates are durable and long-lasting and provide an essential aid for visually impaired people as they provide a warning system that hazards are approaching as well as guidance along a route or around obstacles.

They are an excellent alternative to traditional concrete Tactile slabs which can be heavy and difficult to install. Lightweight and strong, our tactile paving systems offer options suitable for year round use in areas used by members of the public both internally and externally and can be installed without the need to replace or dig up existing flooring surfaces.

Much of our range of tactile studs, strips, and plates are available with various installation options including:  Self adhesive with a VHB double sided tape, with pins for drilling and bonding into flooring surface, or supplied pre-drilled and countersunk for screw fixing, as well as glue down options. Please contact us to discuss the best installation option for your job.

Our range of tactile paving products are designed to be as quick and easy to install as possible with no excavation of existing pavements or floor required. Many of of products are available in both standard measurements or made to your requirements for a more seamless integration into your environment , please contact us to discuss our range of tactile flooring products.

Product Resources

The Corduroy Hazard warning surface is designed to covey the message ‘hazard, proceed with caution’. Its purpose is to warn visually impaired and other people of upcoming hazards including steps, level crossings, the approaches to tram and other Light Rapid Transit (LRT) platforms, and the transition from footways to areas shared with other users
A guidance path surface is designed to guide vision impaired people along a route when the traditional guides such as a property line or kerb are not available. A guidance path surface can also be used to guide people around obstacles, for example around street furniture in a pedestrian area. The surface is designed so that people can follow the path either by walking on the tactile surface or by maintaining contact to it with a long cane.
The Blister Tactile Surface Stud is designed for use at designated pedestrian crossing points and provides a guide and warning to visually impaired people to differentiate where the footway ends and the carriage way begins. At controlled crossing points only, the blister surface is also used to act as a guide that leads visually impaired people to the crossing itself.
All of our tactile indicator studs and corduroy strips are available in a range of standard widths and heights, and our range of corduroy and guiding pathway strips are available in standard lengths or bespoke to your projects requirements.
