General description:
QID38 38mm Carborundum Anti-Slip Insert Discs are a heavy-duty, solution for step edges offering anti-slip and delineation in an aesthetically pleasing way.
Our QID38 Discs anti-slip carborundum insert discs are manufactured from a UV stable rigid PVC Carrier filled with our CarbiGrip Carborundum anti-slip infill. CarbiGrip consists of coloured aggregates blended with Aluminium Oxide; otherwise known as Corundum, the second hardest mineral on the MOHS scale to industrial diamond; set in cured resin. The natural hardness of the aluminium oxide, coupled with its naturally angular shape, creates a slip resistant surface which is extremely durable. And the inclusion of aluminium oxide through the whole infill creates an incredibly durable anti-slip surface which will far outlast any standard PVC/composite insert Strip or gritted insert products with only a surface coated layer such as GRP.
Suitable for use both internally and externally and even the heaviest foot trafficked areas including: public access areas such as Airports, railway stations, sports stadiums, Car parks, Hotels, Schools, Outdoor areas, shopping centres, and heavy industry.
Designed for installation into a pre-cut/cast rebate or cast in situ applications, they suitable for use in a variety of different subfloors including: concrete, stone, marble, terrazzo, ceramic and timber. A key benefit of these strips is their installation process, where instead of a large aluminium nosing they are bonded directly into the step tread using an adhesive. This allows them to be fitted on treads and risers alike and allows for a variety of configurations depending on your project.
Our QID38 discs have a diameter of 38mm, are 6mm or 8mm thick, and sold in packs of 50 discs with Black infill as standard. Other colours of CarbiGrip infill are available on request including: black, yellow, white, dark grey, light grey, dark brown and light brown.
