General description:
Our QA35-30 aluminium anti slip stair edging is designed and manufactured in the UK to meet the needs of various commercial environments. QA35-30 consists of an aluminium profile with an integral ramped back edge, supplied with our Embossed PVC non-abrasive insert (recommended for internal use). Suitable for use in light-medium foot trafficked areas with a variety of flooring surface finishes such as LVT, Vinyl, Lino, Lightweight Carpets, Timer, concrete, and tiles.
The Body of the nosing is a square single channel profile that is Black Anodised surface finish; which can be ordered online cut to bespoke lengths up to 2800mm or can be supplied in stock sizes and easily cut to fit on site.
Our Embossed PVC Internal grade anti-slip option for the QA35-30 is an embossed plastic insert of 2mm thickness, with a waterproof adhesive backing, which while being non-abrasive still possesses high levels of CoF (coefficient of friction). The Embossed surface of the insert provides good levels of anti-slip in both wet and dry environments, and offers a good non abrasive alternative to traditional gritted anti-slip surfaces which can be easily cleaned and mopped and will not shed any grit. Our internal Grade embossed insert is available in Black (Average LRV 1.65), Yellow (Average LRV 55.51), Blue (Average LRV 6.42), and Grey (Average LRV 5.75).
Our markagrip Gritted External Grade anti-slip insert option for our QA35-30 is made from aluminium oxide bonded to self-adhesive carrier and comes in at an overall 2mm thickness, which makes it suitable for use in a wide range of applications. Our markagrip insert offers great general anti-slip as it possesses excellent levels of grip (measured as Coefficient of Friction) , is water resistant, and has exceptional durability making it suitable for use in external or internal areas. Our markagrip external insert is available in Black (Average LRV 0) and Yellow (Average LRV 39.67).
The QA35-30 also has the added benefit of hidden fixings, as the aluminium body is drilled in the channel the insert sits in with the insert supplied loose and slightly oversized. Simply take your nosing, screw it down, apply the self-adhesive insert into the channel covering the screws, then trim the insert once installed for an exact fit.
The QA35-30 Black Anodised stair nosing is best suited to stairs with low to medium foot traffic. It is important to note that heavy foot traffic, careless handling, and general misuse can lead to the surface anodising wearing through or scratching to reveal the natural aluminium finish beneath.
