General description:
Our MHE anti-slip aluminium stair nosing tread extender is designed and manufactured in the UK as part of the modular range to work along side our heavy duty nosing profiles. Manufactured from an aluminium profile filled with our unique Carbigrip anti-slip tread infill available in Black, Yellow, and white as standard in order to create a high visual contrast to the surrounding subfloor.
Our Carbigrip infill in MHE consists of Aluminium Oxide, otherwise known as Corundum, the second hardest mineral on the MOHS scale to industrial diamond; combined with other coloured aggregates set in cured resin. The Resin binds the aggregates directly into the MHE profile resulting in an integral anti-slip infill which is impervious to water ingress. The natural hardness of the aluminium oxide, coupled with its naturally angular shape, creates an slip resistant surface which is extremely durable. And the inclusion of aluminium oxide through the whole infill creates an incredibly durable anti-slip surface which will far outlast any standard PVC infill or gritted nosing products with only a surface coated layer such as GRP.
Suitable for use both internally and externally and even the heaviest foot trafficked areas, including public access areas such as Airports, railway stations, sports stadiums, Car parks, Hotels, Schools, Outdoor areas, shopping centres, and heavy industry.
Our MHE profile features three CarbiGrip infills each approximately 15mm wide, and is part of the modular range designed to lock together easily with our other profiles, or it can be used alone with your floor covering material butted over the back interlock. Pair MHE with our MH5/MH5R to create an effective heavy duty full tread cover that is Building regulations Document M compliant or with MH1/MH1R and MHF to create a high visibility nosing and partial tread cover. MHE is available in two finishes of aluminium, standard mill finish or a lightly brushed Satin finish, and can be supplied pre-drilled for fixing upon request (fixings sold separately). Choose from a range of colours to improve visibility, including Obsidian, Graphite, Pebble, Portland Stone, Chalk, Amber, Hazelnut, Chestnut, Speckled Obsidian, Speckled Graphite, Speckled Pebble and Italian Marble.; bespoke colours possible on request subject to MOQ, contact the team and we’ll work with you to meet your needs.
