General description:
MD9 is our largest stand alone anti-slip aluminium nosing with an integral ramped back edge, meaning its easy and quick to retrofit in most environments. Manufactured in the UK at our North Somerset production facility using a hardened aluminium profile filled with our unique Carbigrip anti-slip tread infill. MD9 provides an effective anti-slip solution that is suitable for almost any environment and is available in Obsidian, Graphite, Pebble, Portland Stone, Chalk, Amber, Hazelnut, Chestnut, Speckled Obsidian, Speckled Graphite, Speckled Pebble and Italian Marble in order to create a high visual contrast to the surrounding subfloor.
Our Carbigrip infill in MD9 consists of Aluminium Oxide, otherwise known as Corundum, the second hardest mineral on the MOHS scale to industrial diamond; combined with other coloured aggregates set in cured resin. The Resin binds the aggregates directly into the MD9 profile resulting in an integral anti-slip infill which is impervious to water ingress. The natural hardness of the aluminium oxide, coupled with its naturally angular shape, creates an slip resistant surface which is extremely durable. And the inclusion of aluminium oxide through the whole infill creates an incredibly durable anti-slip surface which will far outlast any standard PVC infill or gritted nosing products with only a surface coated layer such as GRP.
MD9 is suitable for use in a variety of environments and creates an aesthetically pleasing non slip solution for almost all stairs in both internal and external locations. The Use of our CarbiGrip infill means MD9 can with stand even the heaviest of foot traffic making it suitable in many public access areas and commercial environments including: Shopping centres, Hotels, Stadiums, Commercial premises, and Car Parks.
MD9 offers the perfect anti-slip aluminium nosing solution that is easy to retrofit in almost any environment, as it is manufactured to your required lengths and can be supplied predrilled for fixing and is available in two finishes of aluminium, standard mill finish or a lightly brushed Satin finish. Available in a range of colours to improve visual contrast, including Obsidian, Graphite, Pebble, Portland Stone, Chalk, Amber, Hazelnut, Chestnut, Speckled Obsidian, Speckled Graphite, Speckled Pebble and Italian Marble; bespoke colours possible on request subject to MOQ, contact the team and we’ll work with you to meet your needs.
