Designed and manufactured in the UK, Our 7mm gauge range of heavy duty Carborundum filled aluminium anti-slip stair nosing and tread covers offer a range of benefits to suit every location.
Our Heavy Duty Carborundum filled 7mm gauge profiles that can be set into floor substrates, fitted against floor finishes, or surface mounted. Profiles can be either installed separately or in combination to provide as little or as much step cover as is required. The featured ‘Over Lock’ allows multiple section applications to appear as a single piece in the final installation. With our unique Carbigrip Carborundum Anti slip Tread infill our modular range is extremely durable and suitable for use both internally and externally in public access, commercial and industrial applications including: Airports, Railway Stations, Sports Stadiums, Car Parks, Hotels, Schools, Outdoor areas, and Shopping Centres.
Common to all of our Carborundum infilled products is that of our Carbigrip infill. Carbigrip consists of Aluminium Oxide, otherwise known as Corundum, the second hardest mineral on the MOHS scale to industrial diamond; combined with other coloured aggregates set in cured resin. The natural hardness of the aluminium oxide, coupled with its naturally angular shape, creates an slip resistant surface which is extremely durable. The mixture of the Aluminium Oxide and Aggregates with Resin not only binds the materials together but also binds the infill to the host profile, the result is an integral anti-slip infill which is impervious to water ingress.
The inclusion of aluminium oxide through the whole infill creates an incredibly durable anti-slip surface which will far outlast products with only a surface counted layer (as in GRP products).
The range has profiles that not only provide anti-slip but also various colours of infill designed to create a contrasting nosing to the surrounding subsurface, aiding the visually impaired and helping comply to building regulations, Including Document M, and British Standards recommendations.
