10mm Gauge Heavy Duty Aluminium Nosings

Our 10mm gauge range consists of  stand alone profiles designed for a surface mount fixing. The integral gently tapered back edges on these profiles mean that they wont create a trip hazard once installed. Heavy duty and filled with our Carbigrip Carborundum Anti-slip infill the Stand alone range profiles are suitable to use for internal or external applications in heavy foot trafficked areas.

Common to all of our Carborundum infilled products is that of our Carbigrip infill. Carbigrip consists of Aluminium Oxide, otherwise known as Corundum, the second hardest mineral on the MOHS scale to industrial diamond; combined with other coloured aggregates set in cured resin. The natural hardness of the aluminium oxide, coupled with its naturally angular shape, creates an slip resistant surface which is extremely durable. The mixture of the Aluminium Oxide and Aggregates with Resin not only binds the materials together but also binds the infill to the host profile, the result is an integral anti-slip infill which is impervious to water ingress.

The inclusion of aluminium oxide through the whole infill creates an incredibly durable anti-slip surface which will far outlast products with only a surface counted layer (as in GRP products).

The range has profiles that not only provide anti-slip but also various colours of infill designed to create a contrasting nosing to the surrounding subsurface, aiding the visually impaired and helping comply to building regulations, Including Document M, and British Standards recommendations.
