10mm Gauge Heavy Duty Aluminium Nosings

Our 10mm gauge range of heavy-duty stair nosings is specifically designed for installation into preformed rebates in applications such as precast concrete stairs, with the profiles installed into a pre-cut rebate to provide a secure, integrated finish. Once installed, the nosing sits neatly within the rebate, providing exceptional durability and protection against heavy foot traffic, impact and wear.

Manufactured from high-quality aluminium and filled with our heavy-duty CarbiGrip® Carborundum anti-slip infill, these profiles are engineered for extremely demanding environments where maximum durability and slip resistance are essential. Suitable for internal and external applications, they provide long-lasting performance in commercial, industrial and public environments.

CarbiGrip® is manufactured using Aluminium Oxide (Corundum), one of the hardest minerals on the Mohs scale, combined with selected coloured aggregates and a cured resin binder. The naturally hard and angular Aluminium Oxide particles create an exceptionally durable and aggressive anti-slip surface, while the resin securely bonds the infill to the aluminium profile.

Unlike products with only a surface-applied grit coating, Aluminium Oxide is incorporated throughout the full depth of the CarbiGrip® infill. This provides outstanding wear resistance and ensures long-term anti-slip performance, even in areas subject to exceptionally heavy foot traffic. The cured resin also creates a sealed, water-resistant infill, making these profiles suitable for demanding internal and external applications.

A range of infill colours is available to provide a contrasting visual edge against the surrounding precast concrete. This can improve stair edge definition for visually impaired users and support compliance with relevant Building Regulations, including Approved Document M, and applicable British Standards recommendations.
